Apprenticeship Program
Our Apprenticeship program is designed to provide hands-on experience, training and mentoring to develop in-depth, skills of the trade areas, in line with PPL’s vision and mission. PPL consider trainees in the following disciplines: Electrical Fitter, Diesel Mechanic, Mechanical Fitter Machinist (MFM), Electrical Lines (Transmission & Distribution) and Power Station Technicians.
The program is completed under two categories; a two year program and a four year program. The courses under the two year program will include Electrical Lines (Transmission & Distribution) and Power Station Technicians. The four year program will include Electrical Fitter, Diesel Mechanic, and Mechanical Fitter Machinist (MFM).
We encourage both Females and Males to apply.
Prerequisite
- Have successfully completed grade 12 with good grades - A’s, B’s & C’s
- Have successfully completed TTC/NC 1, 2 & 3/PETT from a recognized institution
